Mood boards still play an integral part in the design process. At the early stages of a project mood boards are put together to indicate the contextual and emotional aspect of a design concept. Images and objects are assembled which inspire, assist creativity and target desires. Mood boards are also very useful at the begining of a project as a guide tool to show to clients for approval before proceeding further.
