Eames Style Lounge Chair and Stool

Charles and Ray Eames left an unparalleled legacy on 20th Century design. Between the 1940s and 1970s the husband and wife team produced some of the most well known and exemplary pieces of furniture ever produced, all of which adhered to their belief that good design could improve people’s lives.

The Eames Lounge Chair, produced in 1956, is rightly regarded as the pinnacle of their extraordinary design output and is a well established icon of modern furniture design.

The Chair consists of three walnut finished bent-plywood shells upholstered with soft black leather, supported by a metal frame. The base itself is a solid piece of cast aluminum, with one facet polished to a mirror finish.
