Introduced in 1946 the Nelson platform bench was part of George Nelson's first collection for Herman Miller and still stands as a benchmark of modern design.
Made from solid birch wood and finished to the highest quality the Nelson Style Platform Bench has clean rectilinear lines. Simple yet elegant, the spaced slats allow air and light through. This piece of furniture has timeless appeal and is highly functional, serving equally well as a table, platform base or seating.
The bench seat is available in a choice of wood finishes; Birch, Walnut, Ash or American Maple. The legs are finger jointed for strength and have an ebonized finish.
The Nelson Style Bench is not suitable for exterior use.
