The Bibendum Lounge Chair was designed by Eileen Gray in 1926 to complement the rue de Lota Parisian apartment she had designed. Inspired by the tubular steel designs of Marcel Breuer, its voluptuous shape inspired Eileen to playfully call it the Bibendum Lounge Chair in reference to the infamous Michelin Man, a mascot of the Michelin tyre company.
Manufactured from tubular steel frame with fine grade leather upholstery, the Bibendum Lounge Chair is perfectly complemented by the Eileen Gray adjustable table also available from Inside Out.
